Course Overview
This nationally recognised course will support your pathway to employment in the retail industry by working effectively in a team service environment, providing service to the retail customer, and maintaining daily store operations as required. You will also gain skills in building customer relationships, assisting with customer difficulties, and delivering on organisational expectations.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have the primary responsibility of engaging the customer, maintaining daily store operations and delivering on organisational expectations. They have sound knowledge of product and service offerings. These individuals possess a range of well-developed skills where discretion and judgement is required. They work with some independence under limited supervision. Some individuals working at this level are responsible for supervising other team members and monitoring day-to-day workplace operations.

Accreditation and Employment Pathways
On successful completion of assessment requirements, the learner will be issued with a Full Certificate SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
The qualification provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.
Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as frontline sales assistant, customer service representative, shop assistant, retail supervisor, team leader and senior sales assistant.
Entry Requirements/Pre-requisites
- Students must be 18 years of age when completing SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol unit of competency
- Learners must demonstrate the ability to understand and use basic Language, Literacy and Numeracy.
- All learners must provide their USI upon enrolment.
- All participants of the course must provide 100 points of identification with at least 1 for of photo identification
