Course Overview
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training teaches individuals how to recognise, understand, and respond to someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis, providing initial support and guidance until professional help is received or the situation resolves.The course provides practical skills and knowledge to help people support others in workplaces, schools, and communities, reduce mental health stigma, and encourage pathways to professional and self-help support.
Course Outline
• Recognise signs and symptoms: Learn the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems.• Offer initial support: Develop skills to approach and talk to someone you are concerned about,
• Using an evidence-based action plan.
• Provide appropriate help: Learn how to listen, connect, and offer initial support.
• Direct to professional help: Understand where and how to get professional help for mental health problems.
• Reduce stigma: Gain knowledge to challenge myths and misconceptions about mental illness.

Duration: 2 consecutive days, 9:30am – 3:30pm (12 hours)Delivery Mode: Face-to-Face (Classroom)

- Participants must be aged 18 years or older at the time of enrolment
